A museum built on one collector's passion
Haslemere Educational Museum was founded in 1888 by the surgeon Sir Jonathan Hutchinson and found its permanent home on the High Street in 1926. It now holds a substantial collection of natural history specimens and human history artefacts, one of the larger museums of its kind in central southern England.
