Grafham forms a linear hamlet strung out along the A281 Horsham Road, a couple of miles south of Bramley village, typical of the ribbon-style development found in parts of this corner of the Surrey Weald.
A church built at one man's expense
St Andrew's Church, a Gothic Revival building put up between 1861 and 1864, was funded personally by the local architect Henry Woodyer, and remains the most notable building in the hamlet.
